Introduction

The Southern Tennis Association Inc. covers the area from Reynella to Willunga on the Fleurieu Peninsula, covering an area of approx. 500 square kilometres nestled in the southern foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges in South Australia.

Southern Tennis Association Headquarters are situated on River Road at Port Noarlunga. Our facilities at Port Noarlunga include six floodlit courts and clubrooms.

The Association consists of seven Clubs who compete in Association competitions. These Clubs are Reynella, Morphett Vale, Hackham, Port Noarlunga, Noarlunga, McLaren Vale and Willunga.

The competitions conducted between the above Clubs by the Association include:

  • Summer Saturday afternoon Senior singles comp
  • Summer Saturday afternoon Senior mixed doubles comp
  • Summer Saturday morning Junior comp
  • Summer Friday night Junior Div 1 comp
  • Winter Saturday morning Junior comp

The Association also conducts a Night Tennis competition at our headquarters on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm from October to March each year.

Through our Clubs, the Association offers a friendly social atmosphere, opportunities to enjoy tennis at all levels during day or night, with qualified coaches for all standards and ages. We are particularly proud of our Tennis in Schools programme which introduces approximately 3.500 primary school students to the wonderful game of tennis each year. Southern Tennis Association is a member of the Hills, Murraylands and Fleurieu Regional Tennis Committee which oversees tennis in the area from Hahndorf to Goolwa and Port Noarlunga to Murray Bridge.
